Successful Life Skills 2nd ed.

The 12-meeting SUCCESSFUL LIFE SKILLS workbook is derived from the 24-meeting SMART Recovery InsideOut Program. InsideOut was developed using a grant from the National Institute of Drug Abuse and is now in use in many correctional institutions globally.  Modules on career and financial management skills have been added to the core recovery skills, while elements focused on justice involvement have been reduced. Promising results showing an increase in internal locus of control for participants have been seen in pilot studies performed in partnership with The Fletcher Group at several hundred recovery residences throughout the United States. This handbook can be used to provide programming in many settings, from reentry programs to recovery residences to educational settings. It is also an accessible workbook for an individual to use in their own self-management journey.
